The purpose of the Dutchess Figure Skating Club is to promote participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating. We are the home club of the McCann Ice Arena in Poughkeepsie, New York.

How to become a member

  1. Fill out the basic skills or freestyle membership form
  2. Send payment via Square Cash or mail a check made out to "DFSC" to the address at the end of the google form
  3. Download and sign our legal forms, then email them to our gmail address (dutchessfsc) or mail them to the address found at the end of the google form

Membership dues


  1. First family member (must be 18 or older): $75 per year
  2. Each subsequent family member: $30 per year
  3. First-time discount (new USFS members only): -$30
  4. Collegiate membership (one-time only for college or graduate students): $85 for 4 years

Skate rental is an additional $5.00 per session.

Beginner skating programs

Basic intro

For children ages 3 – 15 years old who have limited or no skating experience.

Basic skills levels 1-8

A program for children ages 3 – 15 years old who have completed the Basic Intro Program.

Theraputic skating program

This program allows children with disabilities the opportunity to achieve the unthinkable: learning how to ice skate.

Advanced skating programs

Two-day free skating progam

A program for skaters who wish to learn freestyle skating for recreation, exercise and performance art.

Three-day free skating program

A program for skaters who have passed the preliminary moves in the field test or higher.
